I finally took the plunge and made a meatza! These seem fairly popular through the paleo community and I've been interested for awhile now. I was hesitant with adding in dairy to my diet, but after finding some raw cheese at the local co-op I decided to go for it. What follows is mainly just some food porn, so enjoy!

I can't stress how easy this is to make, and all the time needed is mainly prep work. "Crust" is a 50/50 mix of beef and pork with garlic, 2 eggs, some coconut oil, and spices of your choosing. 10 minutes at 450 and it's ready for toppings. I chose some fresh tomatoes, basil, uncured pepperoni, onions, and the aforementioned raw mild cheddar. broil until the cheese is melted and your good to go. Super delicious!!! a little bit of balsamic vinegar compliments the cheese/tomato/basil combination perfectly if you're so inclined. Definitely a nice treat, and would make a great party appetizer as well. Thoughts and comments welcome!
shit ya im on it
ReplyDeleteDude, you will love it! You could do some buffalo in the crust as well man. Endless topping combination's, and you could go sans cheese if you are worried about dairy.
